Marbled Plant Pot making Workshop with Debbie from Indoor Living

Create a beautiful plant pot to brighten up your home (free plant included)
Unleash your creativity and discover the art of marbling to create a beautiful plant pot at this Marbling Class.
During this hands-on class, you'll learn how to mix and cast the eco-friendly material called Jesmonite into a silicone mould, allowing you to create your very own unique plant pot. Don't worry if you're new to this craft, Debbie will guide you every step of the process and offer on-hand help whenever you need it.
Using a range of pigments, you'll get to create your own bespoke colours and learn marbling techniques to create unique patterns for your plant pot.
Once your plant is cast, you'll learn the techniques of sanding and polishing to reveal the intricate marbled design that you've created.
Finally, you will seal your plant pot so it’s ready to take home.
The class will run in a relaxed and supportive environment, allowing you to explore your artistic side and embark on a transformative experience. You'll leave with not only new skills but a plant pot that you can proudly use and display, adding a touch of unique style to your living space.
The best part? Jesmonite is a water-based resin material, making it safe to use and friendly to the environment.
This workshop includes a beverage and treat, so you can relax and enjoy the creative process with like-minded individuals.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a gorgeous plant pot and plant to call your own and some newfound skills under your belt too!

Terrazzo Plant Pot Making Workshop with Debbie from Indoor Living

Create a beautiful plant pot to brighten up your home (free plant included!)
Unleash your creativity and discover the art of Terrazzo to create a beautiful plant pot at this Terrazzo Plant Pot Making Workshop.
During this hands-on class, you'll learn how to mix and cast the eco-friendly material called Jesmonite into a silicone mould, allowing you to create your very own unique plant pot. Creative Club
Creative Club runs every Tuesday 6 - 8pm. Every week we have a planned session exploring many different materials, techniques and processes. If you don’t fancy the planned activity but still want to come along, feel free to bring a project you’re working on & enjoy the company of other creatives & have a cuppa & chat.

We would also love to hear ideas from the group about what they may want to learn or have a go at and this will help us plan future sessions.

Who doesn’t love an excuse to get together with friends or to make new friends with a halloweeny creative activity! Join us to carve your own pumpkin using carving tools or intricate lino cutting tools to create any design. Once your pumpkin is ready you can choose from a big selection of dried flowers & create your arrangement to stand inside your pumpkin, creating the cutest carved pumpkin vase to display for halloween.

About the workshop
Within this workshop you will have the opportunity to create a Christmas wreath which is perfect for your front door or inside your home. We will have a selection of foliage, moss, Christmas themed items, flowers & nature for you to create your wreath. Everybody will have a wreath hoop, florist wire, moss and lots to choose from to adorn yours with pieces that reflect the style you’re going for, whether that be neat & symmetrical, wild & rustic, minimal & traditional or if like us you want to mix it up & throw a bit of everything at it! Feel free to bring items you wish to add to yours, disco balls were a popular theme we loved last year!

Silver Ring/Stacking Rings Workshop Christmas Edition

A bit about us
Creative Village is a community interest company who have been delivering art based workshops in the Teesside area for the past 13 years. Directors Lucy & Jess are both jewellers and would love to share their passion for making with you!
About the workshop
When you have booked your place you will receive an email a few weeks before the workshop to choose whether you would like to make a personalised silver ring (5mm width) or a set of 3 stacking rings (3 thin silver wire pieces). You must let us know ASAP after receiving the email so we can order appropriate materials. Occasionally, we have all materials in stock, so if you don’t receive an email you will be able to choose on the night.
In this workshop you will learn silversmithing techniques including texturing metal, shaping and forming, measuring, soldering, polishing and finishing to make the perfect silver ring(s). During this workshop you will use a copper sheet to practice patterning the metal using various surface decoration techniques including different textured hammers, melting metal, cutting and filing. When you feel confident we will then work with 925 sterling silver to start making your ring(s) which will be measured to size. If you are making the ring(s) for yourself there will be ring sizers to measure your finger with in the session, if the ring is for someone else please find out their ring size before the session (any high street jewellers can measure ring size)
You will polish & finish your silver ring(s) in the session and take it home with you the same night.
Due to silversmithing methods this workshop can get a quite noisy when we are using hammers to shape & pattern the metal. Don’t worry, you will enjoy it, even if you do have a slight headache at the end, it will all be worth it!
You don’t need to bring anything, all materials & tools are included in this workshop.
No previous experience needed but good use of fine motor skills required due to the nature of the workshop.

OUR STUDIO
In 2023 Creative Village opened their studio space on Stockton High Street. The studio runs regular weekly workshops including Creative Club (Tuesday evenings), Creative Club Teens (Thursday evenings) and monthly silversmithing, ceramics and paint-a-long workshops.
The studio also offers opportunities for local creatives to use facilities including kiln hire, jewellery bench rental and full studio hire to host workshops/events.
About The Voucher
This voucher allows you credit to spend on our website (select the amount below). You can spend it on any of our workshops including jewellery & ceramics workshops, one off workshops e.g lino printing or on our weekly Tuesday evening, Creative Club. You can also purchase items from our shop page using the voucher.
Most workshops are held at our studio which is on Stockton High Street, occasionally we venture out into the community to deliver from various venues which can be anywhere around the Teesside area (and very occasionally further).
Once you have purchased the voucher from this listing you will receive the digital voucher via email (the email you enter when you go through our checkout so please make sure you use an email you have access to). The digital voucher will have the voucher amount on as well as a code which is unique to you & will be needed when booking/purchasing from our website, so please keep this safe. Once you have entered your code at the checkout in the ‘discount code’ box, the full voucher amount will be removed from your total.
